The Spring Festival is an initiative of the Association for Trade and Commerce, supported by the district town, car dealerships from Merzig and the surrounding area, as well as the local gastronomy.
Many Merzig shops are open as part of a Sunday shopping event from 1 to 6 p.m., and there is also an exclusive car salon in the city center, which many visitors from near and far have used in recent years as an opportunity to enjoy the first rays of sunshine of the year while checking out the latest models from various car companies from Merzig and the surrounding area. A small gastronomic offer in the city center completes the event.
The Merzig gastronomy, including ice cream and street cafés as well as the old town hosts, also invite you to relax and linger. Free, central parking spaces without time restrictions are available for you this Sunday. The underground car parks Neues Rathaus and Schwarzenbergstraße, as well as the customer parking lot of Sparkasse Merzig-Wadern on Schankstraße, are open until 8:00 PM on this day.
In addition, the popular Spring Raffle of the Association for Trade and Commerce is starting again with the Spring Festival. Attractive VHG shopping vouchers are up for grabs. The raffle ends with the flower market on May 6, 2023.
