The two children are students of the Turmschule in Dudweiler and were still alone in the back part of the schoolyard towards the end of the big break. The other children had already gone into the school building. An unknown man first approached the fence that borders the schoolyard along St. Ingberter Straße and waved to the children. He then signaled with his hand for them to come to him. When the man noticed two teachers who were supervising at the other end of the schoolyard, he moved away towards Saarbrücker Straße. There was no closer contact. The headmistress then informed the police.
