Detailed course description

The actors are in position, the camera is rolling, and the shooting begins… But what else is actually involved? How do you make a film? In individual modules, the various stages of a professional film production are explained and learned practically, from which amateur filmmakers can also benefit.

Module 1: The Script

How does one start the writing process, what formalities need to be observed, and how can a creative idea be advanced towards implementation?

Module 2: Preproduction

What steps must be taken before filming can start? From storyboard and shot plan to location scouting.

Module 3: Production

The film is being shot… with light, sound, and of course the camera…

Module 4: Post-production

The hard drives are filled, but now the data must be assembled into a finished product. Step by step towards the edit.
