Hiking on the theme "Cleaning up in hiking gear – Between premium hiking trails, forest idyll & fast food litter"
On Saturday, April 1st, the Biosphere VHS St. Ingbert invites you to a guided hike as part of Cleanup.Saarland and in cooperation with VHS Ottweiler, under the title "Cleaning Up in Hiking Gear – Between Premium Hiking, Forest Idyll & Fast Food Waste."
The tour takes place from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. under the direction of Arno Meyer.
A short hiking trail is to be cleared of litter. The path leads briefly along the premium trail “Hüttenwanderweg,” then continues towards Südstraße, where various fast-food chains operate their branches.
The starting point is the hiking car park Hüttenwanderweg. The hiking trail has a length of 4.8 km. Participation is free of charge.

Action! - Filming like the professionals
On Saturday, April 22, a film course will start at the Biosphere VHS St. Ingbert, led by director and filmmaker Thomas Scherer. The course spans eight sessions, each Saturday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The meeting point is the IT room in the Kulturhaus, Annastraße 30. The course fee is €60.80 (€48 reduced).

Detailed course description
The actors are in position, the camera is rolling, and the shooting begins… But what else is actually involved? How do you make a film? In individual modules, the various stages of a professional film production are explained and learned practically, from which amateur filmmakers can also benefit.
Module 1: The Script
How does one start the writing process, what formalities need to be observed, and how can a creative idea be advanced towards implementation?
Module 2: Preproduction
What steps must be taken before filming can start? From storyboard and shot plan to location scouting.
Module 3: Production
The film is being shot… with light, sound, and of course the camera…
Module 4: Post-production
The hard drives are filled, but now the data must be assembled into a finished product. Step by step towards the edit.
City Tour "Jewish Life in St. Ingbert"
A city tour on the topic "Jewish Life in St. Ingbert" led by Dr. Susanne Nimmesgern will take place on Saturday, April 22, from 3 to 5 pm.
On a guided tour, participants set out to trace the signs of Jewish life in St. Ingbert. The starting point is the Gören- und Lausbubenbrunnen (corner of Kaiserstraße/Ludwigstraße). The walk goes through the city center along the former businesses and residences of Jewish citizens and ends at the Israelite cemetery.
Participation is free of charge.

Nature relaxation course "Relaxing in the rhythm of the forest according to the course of the seasons"
On Saturday, April 22, there is the opportunity to join the nature relaxation course at the Biosphere VHS St. Ingbert as a lateral entrant. The course follows the course of the seasons. It is led by Gerlinde Meyer, a certified instructor at the German Academy for Health and Forest Bathing.
The participants learn exercises in this course that can be applied directly in nature and have a calming effect on body and mind even after a short stay. A total of five sessions were planned, four of which are still pending. Spring is a special invitation to spend time in nature.
Further dates are planned as follows: June 22, October 7, 2023, and January 13, 2024. The dates can also be booked individually.
Depending on the weather, good footwear and clothing adapted to the temperatures should be brought along. The meeting point is the parking lot "Elstersteinpark" at Elversberger Straße 55, St. Ingbert.

City tour "St. Ingbert under Mayor Hans Schöneberger (1876 - 1923)"
On Saturday, April 29, the Biosphere Adult Education Center St. Ingbert and the St. Ingbert Homeland and Tourism Association invite you to the city tour "St. Ingbert under Mayor Hans Schöneberger (1876 - 1923)." The tour takes place from 4:00 to 5:30 PM and is led by Dominik Schmoll.
Dominik Schmoll takes the participants on a city tour on a journey back in time to St. Ingbert at the beginning of the 20th century, focusing on an outstanding personality, Mayor Hans Schöneberger. During this exciting tour, you learn a lot about urban development whose origins can be found in this period, as well as about political events. The social atmosphere of that time is also fascinating.
Participation is free of charge. The meeting point is the Gören- und Lausbubenbrunnen, corner of Kaiserstraße/Ludwigstraße.
