Over 5,000 employees are losing their jobs in Germany. The company is closing more stores due to ongoing insolvency proceedings. It has now become known that one of the department stores in downtown Saarbrücken will also be closed. The Kaufhof branch on Saarbrücken's Bahnhofstraße is affected and is set to be closed by June 30. Numerous jobs are affected by the closure.
