Major police operation following false report of a homicide in Saarbrücken-Malstatt

A woman was said to have been shot here. The report was taken seriously, which is why strong police forces, including operational units with special protective equipment, immediately went to the location. To protect uninvolved persons, the operational area had to be cordoned off extensively until around 9:20 p.m. Saarbahn traffic was also initially suspended. Subsequently, the named property was completely searched. However, the incident could not be confirmed. Investigations by criminal investigation officers in the respective residential building also could not clarify the situation further so far. The investigations into the suspicion of misuse of emergency calls and false reporting of a crime are ongoing. The operation was concluded around 10:30 p.m.
