Julian Wasserfuhr is considered one of the greatest German prodigies on the trumpet. Together with his brother Roman on the piano, he forms an inseparable jazz duo.
The familiarity of the brothers gives their music a relaxed and effortless character. Whether with trumpet or flugelhorn, Julian creates atmospheric soundscapes with his warm tone. The fresh yet mature, airy sound is complemented by the accented and radiant piano playing of his brother Roman. After their highly praised debut album "Remember Chet," which they recorded at the ages of 17 and 20, they made their breakthrough in the German jazz scene. They have already played with greats such as Nils Landgren, Lars Danielsson, and Wolfgang Haffner. In the process, they increasingly found their characteristic melodically atmospheric Wasserfuhr sound. With six albums released to date, the brother duo is counted among the most renowned German jazz musicians. On their current album "Mosaic," they process the past years in a musical way.
