She became a teacher by profession and lived for many years with her husband in Saarbrücken. Since December 2019, she has been living in the Fidelishaus in St. Ingbert and regularly receives visits from her son.
Also, Mayor Dr. Ulli Meyer warmly congratulates on behalf of the city of St. Ingbert: "You were born during the First World War, experienced the Weimar Republic, Hitler's seizure of power, and the terrible period of the Second World War, the construction of the Berlin Wall and the reunification, a united Europe, and unfortunately now another war. Thus, you have lived through an entire century of recent German history. I warmly congratulate you on your birthday today."
Despite her serious illness, she regularly participates in the nursing home's program and enjoys being part of the community. Sitting in the garden in the sun and enjoying the peace is something she particularly likes.
