The big summer open-air event at Parkbad Wadgassen once again offers a great show this year, featuring music from rock to classical in the special setting of the natural outdoor swimming pool.
Sold-out show 2022
On the weekend of July 7th and 8th, it's festival time again in Wadgassen! The community will present a great program on the big stage in the natural Parkbad Wadgassen. Last year, 1,200 visitors flocked to the sold-out show of the Rammstein tribute band "Völkerball" at the Parkbad. On Saturday, the Wadgassen Orchestra Association, together with the Gunni Mahling Show Ensemble, created an enthusiastic atmosphere among the audience. "This year, there will again be the typical division with Rock Open-Air on Friday and Classical Open-Air on Saturday," explains Mayor Sebastian Greiber. "I am very pleased that we can hold the Open-Air in our Parkbad for the seventh time. By now, fans from all over Saarland and the Greater Region come to us."
Green Day Tribute
Rock fans, take note: Loud guitars, crashing drums, and a booming bass: The "Parkbad OpenAir – Rock" once again offers a top-class rock show this year. After the sold-out concert with the Rammstein tribute band "Völkerball" last year, the guys from "Basket Days" will really heat up the audience in Wadgassen in 2023. The Green Day tribute band recalls the songs
of the world-famous punk rock band and brings a unique show to the stage at Parkbad Wadgassen. "We already planned an OpenAir with a Green Day tribute band in 2020. Back then, the concert had to be canceled due to corona," reports Mayor Greiber. "As a child of the 80s, I am all the more pleased that it has finally worked out with such a headliner." "Basket Days" are supported by the Limp Bizkit tribute band "Pimp Blitzkid" and the regional rock band "Sonderbar" from Wadgassen.
Large wind orchestra with choir and soloists
Catchy melodies that inspire and get under your skin. At the "Parkbad OpenAir Classical," visitors can look forward to the Lemberg Wind Orchestra, which, with 60 musicians, offers a varied repertoire. Also returning as a guest is the Gunni Mahling Show Ensemble, which captivates with a great choir and unique soloists, complementing the orchestra. In addition to the regular seating, the popular picnic spots will be available again this year. There, you can make yourself comfortable with your own furnishings and enjoy the stage action with orchestra, choir, and soloists. Tickets for both events are now available through Ticket Regional at all known advance booking points and online at www.ticket-regional.de.
