The 45-year-old accident causer was driving on the L 268 heading towards Schiffweiler. The accident victim was traveling in the opposite direction. For reasons yet unknown, the accident causer veered left off his lane in the curve area and entered the oncoming lane. As a result, he collided head-on with the oncoming victim. The accident causer was slightly injured, and the accident victim was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. Both vehicles are no longer operational.
