Gerd Dudenhöffer had already accepted the mayor's invitation to the New Year's reception in 2023 and there he had already caused enthusiasm among the people of Bexbach, because his popularity in Saarland has never waned - despite the fact that he no longer performs his programs in Saarland.
But this was not the only invitation that Mayor Christian Prech had sent to the cabaret artist Gerd Dudenhöffer. The two met for a joint conversation at the town hall in Bexbach.
Who doesn't know him? Whether it is Gerd Dudenhöffer with his fictional character "Heinz Becker" in the series "Familie Heinz Becker" or in his numerous solo programs. He is known beyond the borders for his texts in the Saarland dialect and has been touring throughout Germany for many years.
The multiple award-winning cabaret artist, author, and director is especially popular for reflecting certain gestures, sayings, and everyday situations of the character Heinz Becker, as the person Heinz Becker lies dormant somewhere in most families.
“I am very pleased that Mr. Dudenhöffer accepted my invitation to the town hall. Due to his nationwide recognition, he is, as a native of Bexbach, naturally an important personality for our city. His entry in the guestbook of the city of Bexbach was the crowning conclusion of our joint conversation,” said Mayor Christian Prech.
