At 11:11 a.m., the carnival attackers begin their procession across the market square, past the market hustle and bustle, heading towards the administrative castle. There, mayor Ulli Meyer, supported by town hall staff and council members, tries by all means to dissuade the attackers from their plans and defend his official residence.
Led by the fanfare band NKV Elversberg, various St. Ingbert carnival clubs and cheerful revelers will march to the town hall at 11:11 a.m. Their goal is to capture the town hall key from Mayor Dr. Ulli Meyer and thus symbolically take over power in the city.
Alongside Mayor Dr. Ulli Meyer, city administration employees and council members will try to dissuade the jesters from their plans and bravely defend the town hall. The comrades from the fire department and the Rohrbach shooting club are also part of the action and will position themselves protectively in front of the town hall. A lively exchange of blows between the opponents will ultimately decide victory or defeat. Experience, however, shows that the jesters will be clearly outnumbered and will likely wrest control of the city from the mayor for the carnival season.
After the battle for control of the town hall, lively festivities with dancing and drinks take place in the dome hall of the town hall. The physical well-being is also well taken care of with drinks at "old-fashioned" prices and small pretzel rolls.
The citizens are warmly invited to start Faasenacht Saturday with energy from 11:11 a.m.
