A 57-year-old dog owner was playing with his unleashed dog (Dogo Argentino) in a large field. When a walker (72 years old) with his leashed dog (Australian Shepherd) was walking along the edge of the field, the unleashed dog ran up to the walker and attacked the Australian Shepherd. While trying to protect his dog and separate the animals, the 72-year-old was first bitten on the calf and then on the little finger of his left hand. The first segment of the finger was completely bitten off. When the second dog owner ran over, the animals were finally separated. Subsequently, the injured man's son called the police and ambulance. For further treatment, the injured person was taken to Winterberg hospital but was able to be discharged in the evening. The dog owners know each other personally. The owner of the Dogo Argentino apologized multiple times to the injured person, reported the incident to his insurance on site, and supported all necessary measures.
