Over the course of four days, the festive tent opposite the town hall will be given free rein for the carnival festivities. This year, everything in Wadgassen is themed "WAD DISNEY."
On Fat Thursday (February 16), the "Wadgasser Faasend" kicks off with the traditional storming of the town hall, where the fools seize symbolic control of the town hall. Afterwards, the popular party band "Bumi and the Mooncrackers" will perform in the festival tent.
On Friday (February 17), another highlight of the Wadgasser Faasend takes place. The "Barmherzigen Plateausohlen" will come to the festival tent. With their program of the most beautiful melodies from the 60s and 70s, they present a schlager show for all nostalgics.
On Faasend Saturday (February 18), the streets of Wadgassen will come alive again. At 4:11 p.m., the Faasend parade begins with many clubs, music, and great atmosphere. In the festival tent, the Faasebòòzen will be entertained by "Al Dente," a cover band that has proven its quality multiple times. Rose Monday in Wadgassen is a day for the children. Then, the "Kinderfaasend" takes place in the festival tent with many great program items for the carnival youth.
Carnival Clubs in Wadgassen
The main actors of the Wadgassen Faasend 2023 are once again this year the Faasend clubs “Die Grenobler” from Werbeln, “Die Peikler” from Differten, and “Die Glasspatzen” from Wadgassen, as well as the Interessengemeinschaft Schaffhauser Vereine (IG Schaffhausen). They are extensively involved in the local planning and, with their clubs, provide the foundation for a successful event.
“I am very glad that we can celebrate Faasend in Wadgassen again this year,” Mayor Sebastian Greiber is pleased to say. “As a community, we try to support the clubs as best as we can and, for example, ease the organization around setup, booking, security, and many other things as much as possible.”
Advance ticket sales
There will be a presale of tickets this year again for entry to the festival tent on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. This will be handled through Ticket-Regional. The presale starts on January 14 at 11:11 AM. Tickets via www.ticket-regional.de
