Losheim am See – Preparation work for the new construction already began this Thursday. Starting Monday, January 9, 2023, construction work will commence and the bridge will be officially closed. The lake circular trail will be redirected from the west side, heading towards the Kneipp facility, along the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig via a path. Coming from the east side, the lake circular trail will be closed from the junction “Saar-Hunsrück-Steig, Traumschleifen and -schleifchen.”
"On behalf of the municipality of Losheim am See and the municipal enterprise for tourism, leisure, and culture, I ask for your understanding that during the construction phase, the popular walking path at the Losheim reservoir cannot be used as a circular route. Alternative options for walking, jogging, and hiking are available nearby, for example the 'Sonnenrunde' dream loop or a tour through the 5,000 sqm lake garden," said Mayor Helmut Harth.
