Important information:
When transmitting cases from the health offices through the responsible state authorities to the RKI, there is a reporting and transmission delay of several days, both in the raw case numbers and in the 7-day incidences. The discrepancies also arise from different data collection times and various transmission routes. COVID-19 cases that meet the RKI case definition must be electronically transmitted by the responsible health office to the responsible state authority at the latest by the next working day and anonymized transmission to the RKI by the State Competence Center for Infection Epidemiology (LKI) must also take place at the latest by the next working day.
The basis for the case numbers reported by the RKI are the notifications from the health authorities up to midnight of the previous day. The basis for the case numbers reported by the MASFG are the notifications up to 4 p.m. of the previous day. All transmitted figures represent current and provisional data. Changes are reserved.
In particular, during and after the Christmas holidays, a certain degree of inaccuracy in the reported case numbers is to be expected, as there may be increased delays in reporting. Additionally, the Regional Association Saarbrücken is undergoing a technical transition of the software, which is why delays or inaccuracies in reporting are also to be expected for the duration of the transition.
Behavioral Note:
The pandemic is not over yet. Measures such as maintaining distance, observing hygiene, wearing masks in everyday life, and regular ventilation can continue to help improve the infection situation. Celebrations should, if possible, take place on a small scale in order to avoid further outbreaks.
The Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Women and Health wishes all citizens a good start to the new year and asks for continued responsible behaviour.
