The works of Saarland artist Lisa Maul, born in 1990, are shaped by the impressions of numerous stays abroad. Inspired by the vibrant colors of the countries she has visited, as well as by the local flora and fauna, the painter weaves a dreamy visual language and develops an approach combining Pop Art, Surrealism, and Expressionism. The artist incorporates influences from literature, music, and her own dream journeys into her works. She invites viewers into a mystical land of the heart, where there is still much magic and the soul can freely unfold. Lisa Maul creates her works using oil on canvas, mixed media techniques with oil and pastels, ink, watercolor, and as collages.
The exhibition can be visited free of charge during the opening hours of the Old Town Hall until January 27th.
