From Neuweiler, the construction site for the actual civil engineering and pipeline works will then move northwards towards the "Obere Anlage". From January to October, only isolated disruptions due to the closure of forest paths are to be expected.
Both the construction section east of the residential area near Gehnbach in St. Ingbert (Zum Nassauer Graben, Obere Rischbachstr. to Zur Rothell), as well as the construction section in the Sulzbach area (upper section) are planned to be built between spring and summer. The construction work in these sections is expected to last until October 2023.
The progress of the construction site can be tracked at https://www.creos-net.de/bauvorhaben/baumassnahmen.
For the year 2030, Creos Deutschland GmbH has set its so-called target network. This requires continuous construction measures throughout the Creos Deutschland GmbH network in Saarland and parts of Rhineland-Palatinate. With the 2030 target network, the historically grown gas network of Creos Deutschland GmbH will be restructured into an efficient and modern gas network. It enables a secure, cost-effective, consumer-friendly, environmentally compatible, and long-term reliable gas supply. As part of the energy supply restructuring, the pipelines are constructed in such a way that they are fundamentally suitable for transporting climate-neutral gases. These include, for example, hydrogen-containing gases, biomethane, and synthetic methane.
The entire work on the so-called "Northern Bypass St. Ingbert" extends northeast of Rohrbach, north of St. Ingbert, east of Neuweiler, up to the eastern outskirts of Dudweiler. The work is carried out in a total of five construction phases. All work is expected to be completed by 2025.
