A 67-year-old driver from Püttlingen was traveling with his car on Köllertalstraße towards Völklingen when, at a curve near property number 64, a car approached him at excessive speed and crossed into the oncoming lane. Both vehicles grazed each other on the driver's sides and were significantly damaged. After the accident, the perpetrator fled the scene with his car towards Köllerbach and could not be located during search measures. Based on a search for evidence at the accident site, the police assume that the perpetrator's car was a silver Mercedes. The 67-year-old victim was not injured in the accident. Any information about the perpetrator can be reported to the Völklingen Police Inspectorate at 06898/2020.
