According to the current police findings, the driver veered approximately 20 meters after the junction to Krankenhausstraße for unknown reasons onto the oncoming lane to the left and collided head-on with an oncoming Audi A5. The collision caused the 20-year-old's vehicle to spin around its own axis and come to a stop on its lane, facing the opposite direction. The Audi, which was occupied by a 28-year-old driver, was thrown into the ditch on the right side of the road and came to a stop about 10 meters further on. The occupant of the Audi suffered pain in the left leg due to the collision. The sole occupant of the VW was rescued from inside the vehicle by ambulance and emergency doctor crews. Both parties were taken to clinics in Homburg and Neunkirchen for further examination after initial medical treatment. Both cars were completely damaged. The damage amounts to approximately 25,000 euros. Both vehicles were removed from the L141 by towing services. The L141 was closed for about two hours during the accident investigation.
