According to current knowledge, oil in a frying pan ignited and spread from the stove to the kitchen interior, which caught fire completely. In addition, there was heavy smoke development.
The residents left the property in time, so no one was injured. Only one resident (67 years old) was taken to the hospital for observation. After the fire brigade Homburg completed the extinguishing work, the apartment was no longer habitable due to the fire damage. The other households were able to remain in the multi-family house.
The fire caused property damage of approximately 15,000 EUR.
