The city association and the district association of the Junge Union are calling for energy-saving Christmas lighting for the city of Neunkirchen in the coming year. "The complete absence of Christmas lighting in the city this year cannot be a permanent situation despite the ongoing energy crisis. Missing lights lead to a significant decrease in the attractiveness of the city center and thus also to a loss of sales in the pre-Christmas business for local retailers and restaurateurs," said the district chairman and city councilor Nils Meisberger.
The conversion to energy-saving Christmas lighting in the form of LED lights must therefore be advanced for the coming years. "This way, compared to the currently existing lighting, costs can be saved on the one hand, and on the other hand, our city center can be illuminated again in a festive Christmas manner. This inevitably leads to an increase in attractiveness. The administration must now take action," said the city association chairwoman and city councilor Alice Avieny.
