Also this year, the city association of the Junge Union Neunkirchen continues its long-standing Christmas fundraising campaign in support of the Neunkirchen food bank. "As in previous years, we gave needy families and their children, who came to the food bank's last distribution day before Christmas, a small surprise in the form of gift bags with homemade cookies and chocolate. Once again, we are committed to our pre-Christmas campaign and especially want to remember the children in our city. Thinking of the little ones in our city, especially in the current situation, is a heartfelt concern for us as the Junge Union," explains JU city association chairwoman Alice Avieny.
For the JU city association, it is important that no one is left behind, despite the currently challenging times for many due to high energy and food prices. Especially the youngest in Neunkirchen should not have to suffer. The Neunkirchen food bank, besides receiving some in-kind donations, is still primarily dependent on monetary donations. "Solidarity in our city has always been and remains a heartfelt concern for us as the Junge Union, especially when it comes to needy children and young families. Of course, it is a year-round mandate of Christian responsibility to show and live willingness to help. However, especially before Christmas, one is particularly sensitized and called upon to do so. I always see us as the Junge Union as being responsible in this regard," Alice Avieny emphasizes in conclusion.
