The decisive factor for this was fire safety deficiencies in the ventilation system of the hall. Lisa Becker acted responsibly as the First Deputy by passing on the two expert reports on the ventilation system and the electrical system in the hall to the lower building supervisory authority, rather than delaying it. On the contrary, withholding information about the dangers of the hall, as requested by Mayor Bernd Hertzler, would have been a serious breach of her official duties as the deputy mayor and responsible alderman. From the perspective of the Green Party Saar, there are no substantive reasons for the removal proceedings.
The fact that there is obviously no sufficient democratic majority for the removal in the Blieskastel city council is now being attempted to be covered up by the Blieskastel comrades with a renewed demand for Lisa Becker's resignation. The state executive committee of the Saar Greens does not understand why Lisa Becker should resign for the mayor's failure.
It is astonishing that the Blieskastel SPD city association reprimands the SPD state association by refusing any interference from the state association in forming a majority with the AfD. Equally surprising to the Saar Greens is the restraint shown by the SPD state association in this regard. This is especially in light of the terrorist threat from the Reich citizens' scene with connections to the AfD and a related search conducted in Blieskastel. Apparently, the SPD state chairwoman tolerates being politically affronted in this manner. So far, there has also been no opposition from the ranks of the CDU to the political conduct of parts of its council faction. The recall procedure against Lisa Becker is factually unsustainable. Furthermore, the process is highly problematic politically and potentially harmful to democracy. Therefore, the Green state board calls on colleagues from the SPD and CDU to put an end to the actions in Blieskastel. It is not in the interest of the Saar Greens that Saarland becomes the scene of a second "Kemmerich" case due to the personal grievances of an SPD local association.
