St. Wendel. On the night of November 1, 2022 (Halloween night), there were a series of police operations in the St. Wendel police area. The emergency services had to deal with the following incidents:
On Kelsweiler Street, there was an altercation between two men at around 10:30 p.m. The men, who already knew each other beforehand, reportedly had a verbal dispute for reasons that are not yet clear. During the course of this argument, a 39-year-old man from St. Wendel is said to have attacked and injured his opponent, a 17-year-old from Namborn.
Between the train station and the "DM" parking lot, there was a confrontation on 01.11.2022, around 02:20, between a man and a woman from Neunkirchen who were together there. These intoxicated individuals initially got into a verbal argument, which ultimately escalated into a physical altercation involving hitting. In the end, the police had to intervene to end the confrontation. The woman was slightly injured during the altercation.
On Eisenbahnstraße, near a local nightclub, there was another altercation at 4:45 a.m. Initially, a dispute arose between a young man from Marpingen and a group of several unknown men. During the course of this argument, the aforementioned man from Marpingen was then beaten and kicked by several men from the aforementioned group. When a bystander tried to assist the victim mentioned above, he was also attacked and injured in the face. Due to his injuries, he had to be taken to a hospital. The first man attacked sustained only minor injuries.
In all 3 mentioned cases, police investigations have been initiated and are ongoing. The police are seeking witnesses who can provide additional information about the incidents.
Furthermore, property damage was committed on Alsweiler Street in St. Wendel during the night. Here, unknown perpetrators threw eggs at a house facade, thereby soiling the facade of the building. Cleaning of the house wall is required. The extent of the damage cannot be precisely determined at this time. Police investigations have also been initiated here, and the St. Wendel police are looking for witnesses who can provide information about the property damage.
