On Halloween, 31.10.2022 at around 6:44 PM, the police station in Sulzbach received a report that three girls had been approached by a man dressed in black from a white van and were lured to the vehicle with sweets.
During the on-site investigation, the children reported that they had been going door-to-door in Herrensohr to ask for sweets. Suddenly, a white van/box truck (probably similar to a Vito or VW T-Bus) drove alongside them at walking speed, when the rear sliding door of the vehicle suddenly opened and the vehicle came to a stop. Since this seemed unusual to the children and they were frightened, they immediately ran away and the vehicle drove off.
Contrary to the initial statement, they were not addressed.
