Minister Jung, like his colleague in Baden-Württemberg, should immediately exempt employees in workshops for people with disabilities and residents of nursing and elderly homes as well as homeless shelters from the mask requirement. After Health Minister Manne Lucha in Württemberg informed the respective institutions in a letter that they can decide for themselves whether to maintain the mask requirement in communal rooms, the FDP Saar demands a corresponding approach by Health Minister Jung for Saarland.
According to Dr. Helmut Isringhaus, the health policy spokesperson of the FDP Saar, the current regulation has such significant weaknesses that one cannot wait for a change to the Infection Protection Act by the Bundestag.
