On Thursday, October 27, 2022, at around 8:45 p.m., several witnesses reported a physical altercation on Bahnhofstraße in 66450 Bexbach. Two groups of a total of about 20 to 25 youths had confronted each other there, resulting in several bodily injury offenses. During the altercations, a machete, a telescopic baton, and a blank pistol were used, among other things. According to witnesses, at least three shots were fired from the pistol. A youth from Bexbach was slightly injured, sustaining bruises and a cut on the upper body. As part of the immediately initiated police investigations and search measures, two more youths were found near the nearby Aloys-Nesseler-Platz. They stated that they had been extorted by a group of people who, under threat of a machete, forced them to hand over their personal belongings such as wallets, mobile phones, jackets, etc. During further police searches, several participants were found, and stolen goods previously extorted were found and secured from a 17-year-old youth from Neunkirchen. Additionally, small amounts of narcotics were found and secured in a car with Luxembourg license plates. The narcotics were assigned to the already suspected youth and another youth. The suspect from Neunkirchen was released after completing a police fingerprinting procedure. So far, several criminal investigations have been initiated for robbery extortion, dangerous bodily harm, as well as violations of the Weapons Act and the Narcotics Act.
