On Monday, 31/10/2022 at 6:50 p.m., a fire occurred at the "Im Wieschen" elementary school in Homburg-Einöd. Two large paper containers were set on fire by an as yet unknown perpetrator in an unknown manner. The fire then spread to the facade of the school building but was controlled and extinguished by the fire department present on site. The two paper containers were destroyed. In addition, the facade of the school building, a plastic basement door, a downpipe, and two windows were damaged. The resulting property damage cannot be quantified at this time.
