“Rummelbooze carving” is an old autumn custom that surely every child in Neunkirchen knew, but which has largely been forgotten by many over time. That is precisely why the association FREIE WÄHLER Neunkirchen e.V. wants to revive this traditional custom in Neunkirchen, so that children can get to know the autumn tradition.
For this purpose, the association invites you on Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 1 to 5 pm to an afternoon holiday event in the former Alt Backstubb (Wellesweilerstraße 9), where children can carve pumpkin lanterns with their parents to place them at home on the windowsill or in front of the door for Halloween. The lanterns cost €2.50 each (medium) and €3.50 (large), depending on the size.
Carving tools should be brought along so that the turnips can be given a spooky face. Anyone who wants to carve one or more lanterns with their child should simply pre-order in writing in good time at info@fw-nk.de. Non-alcoholic beverages will be well provided for.
