To conclude Intercultural Week, the city of Völklingen invites you to a musical journey through Africa on Saturday, October 1st, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Heidstock multipurpose hall on Neckarstraße.
The musician and ambassador for intercultural understanding, Max Bousso, musically guides through the African continent and offers his workshop "Tam-Tam - The Drum Calls" for children between 6 and 11 years old.
His diverse and joyful stage program, consisting of music and dance, invites participation. With great sensitivity, Bousso conveys the necessary technique to elicit fascinating sounds and unique rhythms from the so-called Djémbé in a short time. To the pulse of the drum, he will bring the participants closer to the singing of African cultures and awaken and deepen their understanding through stories from life in Africa.
Admission is free and the multipurpose hall is accessible. Participation is only possible when accompanied by an adult. To protect against corona, a maximum of one accompanying person is allowed.
Registration is required.
