The work on the northern bypass of St. Ingbert covers the area between the entrance to the L250 southeast of Neuweiler and extends to northwest of St. Ingbert near the L244. The work is being carried out in the form of a moving construction site. This can lead to temporary closures of forest paths on certain days. The work begins in early October 2022.
The progress of the construction site can be tracked at https://www.creos-net.de/bauvorhaben/baumassnahmen.
The actual civil engineering and laying work will begin in January 2023 and is expected to last until December 2023.
For the year 2030, Creos Deutschland GmbH has set its so-called target network. This requires continuous construction work throughout the Creos Deutschland GmbH network in Saarland and parts of Rhineland-Palatinate. With the 2030 target network, the historically grown gas network of Creos Deutschland GmbH will be restructured into an efficient and modern gas network. It enables a safe, affordable, consumer-friendly, environmentally compatible, and long-term reliable supply of gas. As part of the restructuring of energy supply, the pipelines are being built so that they are fundamentally suitable for transporting climate-neutral gases. These include, for example, hydrogen-containing gases, biomethane, and synthetic methane.
The entire work on the so-called "Northern Bypass St. Ingbert" stretches northeast of Rohrbach, north of St. Ingbert, east of Neuweiler, up to the eastern outskirts of Dudweiler. The work is carried out in a total of five construction phases. All work is expected to be completed by 2025.
