On Friday, September 30, 2022, at 7:00 PM, the final event of the lecture series "Anecdotes of a Passenger – Hitchhiking Around the World" will take place at the Kulturhalle Wehrden. An ode to hitchhiking: 53,000 kilometers, 432 rides, and 134 invitations to stay overnight. Accompany Daniel Dakuna on a journey by hitchhiking that took him through a total of 42 countries.
With his show, he aims not only to entertain but also to inspire, motivate, talk about the dark sides of such a journey, and open up a new perspective on our world. "Anecdotes of a Passenger" includes numerous funny and crazy stories. Daniel wandered through Riga carrying a salmon weighing several kilos, ended up in the ISIS stronghold of Jordan, and spent a night locked in a war shelter with a former business partner of Muammar al-Gaddafi. Moreover, the show is meant to have emotional depth by discussing serious fates and negative moments of his journey. About encounters that have profoundly changed him. He wants to make the audience both laugh and bring them to tears.
Admission to the event is free. At the end of the show, voluntary donations are welcome. A portion of the proceeds goes to a social project in Zambia.
