Many clubs, non-profit organizations, and schools in Homburg are committed to democratic coexistence. They create opportunities for meeting and exchange between people, promote participation, and raise awareness against extremism and exclusion. Since 2015, the city of Homburg has supported this commitment within the framework of the "Partnership for Democracy," including through funding. For the year 2022, almost 36,000 euros have already been allocated for projects.
Additional funding is still available for the remainder of the year 2022. Non-profit organizations and associations can receive not only financial support of up to 8,000 euros but also comprehensive advice on the application process and the implementation of their project plans.
