Between 09/19/2022, 10:30 PM and 09/20/2022, 5:30 AM, there was a hit-and-run traffic accident in the area of the intersection of Josefstaler Straße, Kohlenstraße, Ludwigstraße, and Theodor-Heuss-Platz. An unknown party involved in the accident was apparently driving on Josefstaler Straße towards the mentioned intersection. At the intersection, they turned left onto Theodor-Heuss-Platz. During this turn, while driving over the traffic island there, a traffic sign and a lampshade of the traffic light system were damaged. Property damage amounted to the lower four-digit range. The person responsible for the accident then left the scene without permission. Witnesses to the accident are asked to contact the St. Ingbert Police Department (06894/1090).
