On Friday, September 9, 2022, this year's swimming season at the Heilborn natural pool came to an end. Since the opening of the natural pool on May 14, 2022, around 16,500 bathers visited the Merzig outdoor pool this year.
“We are extremely satisfied with the visitor numbers of the past outdoor pool season,” said Martin Siemon, operations manager and managing director of Merziger Bäder GmbH. “Considering the consistently good weather and the fact that this is more visitors than in the last two years combined, one can speak of an entirely positive balance,” Siemon continued.”
"After the last two years were heavily influenced by the corona pandemic, we are glad that this year we were able to operate without restrictions again," explains Thomas Klein, managing director of Merziger Bäder GmbH. "On Sunday, September 18th, the fifth Merzig dog swimming event took place, organized in cooperation with the Merzig dog club 'My Dog and Me e.V.' and the Merzig public utilities. We were able to welcome a total of 247 guests with their dogs," Klein informs.
The next outdoor swimming pool season is currently scheduled to begin on May 20, 2023.
