On Monday, October 3, 2022, the Wörschweiler Monastery Ruins Foundation and the Wörschweiler Monastery Ruins Support Association will host the now traditional wine festival at the monastery ruins on Klosterberg to welcome the autumn season. The wine festival begins at 11 a.m.
An extensive range of food and drinks as well as music is offered. Winemakers from the Palatinate also present their wines for tasting, and there are also tarte flambée from Alsace, specialties from Palatinate cuisine, and various homemade-style cakes.
The band "Blueshimmel" plays handcrafted music in the style of blues, country, swing, folk, ballads, and rock with Palatine dialect lyrics straight from everyday life.
Visitors must reach the wine festival on foot, as a shuttle service cannot be offered this year for organizational reasons, says Wörschweiler's local mayor Reinhold Nesselberger, who is also active in the foundation and the support association of the Wörschweiler monastery ruins.
