On Wednesday today, around 3:00 PM, a traffic accident occurred in the Saarlouis district of Roden, in the area of the railway underpass. A 62-year-old truck driver was driving his 11.5-ton truck on Herrenstraße towards Dillingen/Saar and collided with a hydraulic arm against the bridge structure. As a result of the collision, the truck began to tip over, grazing an oncoming car (which was able to continue driving). Afterward, the truck came to rest on its driver's side. The driver was only slightly injured and was able to free himself from the cab independently. Due to the traffic accident, Herrenstraße had to be completely closed between the intersections of Lohestraße and Heiligenstraße for the entire duration of the operations (approximately 4.5 hours). For the recovery of the truck, an appropriate towing service and a crane vehicle had to be called to the site. After the measures were completed, the road section was reopened to traffic around 7:20 PM.
