On Saturday, September 17, 2022, it is World Cleanup Day 2022. Since the Homburg City Council has approved a proposal for participation and support of this campaign by the Homburg City Council faction of Alliance 90/The Greens, the municipal building yard will provide the necessary materials such as garbage bags, gloves, and grabbers and will collect and dispose of the collected waste.
On World Cleanup Day, litter is collected worldwide and measures to reduce waste are encouraged.
The parliamentary group of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen is already calling for a joint litter collection event on Friday, September 16, from 4 p.m., as the action day "Homburg lives healthy!" will also take place on Saturday, September 17, at Christian-Weber-Platz. The joint litter collection event will be held on Schlossberg, as it is a landmark and a showcase of Homburg. The call to participate in the litter collection on Schlossberg is valid for all council members so that they can set a good example together for a clean Homburg, but of course also for all residents of Homburg.
