Völklingen. On Wednesday at noon, a traffic accident occurred on Alter Markt street, in which a 53-year-old cyclist was slightly injured. The so far unknown perpetrator of the accident exited a parked car while the cyclist was passing by. The 53-year-old had to dodge the suddenly opened car door and fell as a result. The perpetrator then fled on foot without attending to the cyclist. The fugitive is said to have been carrying a small white dog in their arms. The police are now investigating for leaving the scene of the accident without permission. Witnesses are asked to contact the Völklingen police station at telephone number 06898/202-0.
