The public bookshelf, privately set up and maintained (location: Rubenheim, Wittersheimer Straße, in the bus shelter), was apparently deliberately damaged – the municipality is asking for information about the incident.
Presumably during the Rubenheim Kirb period, there was an act of vandalism on the public bookshelf in Rubenheim. Several doors and cabinet elements were damaged with considerable force; apart from the visual damage, some of the books are now no longer adequately protected from wind and weather.
The municipality expresses shock over the incident: "Here, a very low-threshold and free access to cultural goods is created through a private initiative, and instead of supporting this project, it is attacked and deliberately damaged," said Mayor Michael Clivot.
