Before the Ensdorf outdoor pool finally closed for the winter break, last Saturday the water-loving four-legged friends once again had the non-swimmer pool all to themselves for bathing, splashing, and playing. Those who feared that no dog would step outside, let alone into the cool water, in such rainy weather were proven wrong on Saturday. As soon as the gates opened, the pups joyfully plunged into the water, swimming back and forth across the pool, bringing their owners the toys thrown into the water (or sometimes not), and romping freely with other dogs on the play meadow. The cheerful hustle and bustle was, of course, also a delight for the owners of the furry friends. Gratefully, the dog lovers took advantage of the food and drink offerings provided for the first time this year by the outdoor pool kiosk operator specially for the dog swimming day, where they could give themselves and their four-legged friends a little break from the rain or swimming.
Once again, it was a thoroughly successful event, which for the third time in a row, despite rainy weather, was very well received by both four-legged and two-legged attendees and will certainly not be the last of its kind at the Ensdorf pool.
The municipality of Ensdorf once again thanks all guests for their attendance and hereby officially declares the 2022 outdoor swimming season to be over.
