196 new confirmed corona cases – Another death
The health department of the regional association reports 196 new corona cases today (as of September 13, 4 p.m.). The number of newly reported cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days has slightly increased to 246.1 according to internal calculations.
The health department of the Regional Association was notified today of another death. On September 8, a 79-year-old patient who had previously tested positive for the coronavirus passed away. The number of deaths related to the coronavirus rises to 806.
7-day total of new infections by cities and municipalities
In the past seven days, 806 people in the Regional Association have been infected with the coronavirus. Of these, 416 live in Saarbrücken, 83 in Völklingen, 49 in Sulzbach, 48 in Quierschied, 47 each in Heusweiler and Riegelsberg, 39 in Püttlingen, 38 in Kleinblittersdorf, 28 in Friedrichsthal, and 11 in Großrosseln.
Corona case numbers since the beginning of the pandemic
In total, there are 128,278 confirmed cases in the regional association that have tested positive since the beginning of the pandemic. Of these, 69,603 are in the state capital and 58,675 in the nine surrounding towns and municipalities. The number of deaths related to the coronavirus stands at 806.
