Wadgassen (ots)
The A 620 motorway was closed for several hours on Monday evening between Wadgassen and Wehrden in the direction of Saarbrücken. The cause was a traffic accident. A car with a trailer was driving along the route in the mentioned section around 8:00 p.m. and lost part of its load about 1 km before the Völklingen-Wehrden exit. This load was an oven that fell onto the roadway, leaving a large field of shattered glass shards behind. A following car, which could no longer avoid the shards, was damaged. The Saarbrücken-bound carriageway had to be fully closed between Wadgassen and Wehrden until a street sweeper completed the cleaning work around 11:00 p.m.
