Mettlach-Orscholz (ots)
On Sunday, 28.08.2022, at around 5:10 p.m., a dangerous traffic situation was caused by a blue Ford Focus. This vehicle overtook multiple cars on the winding section of the L177 shortly before Orscholz, coming from the direction of Mettlach, despite oncoming traffic. A serious accident was only prevented by the strong braking of the overtaken reporter and an unknown oncoming road user during the dangerous overtaking maneuver. The Merzig police have initiated an investigation for dangerous driving and are looking for witnesses to the incident.
