For the 37th time, visitors to the St. Ingberter Pfanne were able to enjoy a varied program. Twelve artists have proven their skills in recent days on the stage of the industrial cathedral at the Alte Schmelz. Four of them can now look forward to a copper cooking pot from St. Ingbert.
Over four competition days, the audience experienced classical cabaret, stand-up comedy, acrobatics, musical cabaret, and much more. Once again, everything that makes the renowned variety art prize so coveted and popular was included.
On Friday, September 9th, starting at 7:30 PM, the three jury awards and the audience award were presented in the industrial cathedral.
All winners received one of the coveted copper pans, each endowed with 4,000 euros, two of which were selected by the main pan jury.
Thomas Reis offered "By far the best," according to the main jury's opinion, and won one of the two jury awards to thunderous applause. The author and cabaret artist, active for 35 years, delivers satire par excellence. Dazzling, sharp-witted, and biting, the heavyweight of political cabaret presents ruthless analyses with dark humor combined with brilliant wordplay, delivering one razor-sharp punchline after another. Thomas Reis already won one of the popular "Pfannen" in 1987.
The second equivalent jury prize was awarded to the singer-songwriter Miss Allie. Shockingly authentic, the songwriter brings an acoustic guitar, a big heart, and waves of emotion to a new generation, lovingly shining a spotlight on taboo topics of everyday life. Her promise "From crap to gold" is wrapped by the witty, coquettish, and emotional musician into a genuine concert experience, winning her listeners' hearts with her unique charm.
Hinnerk Köhn was delighted to receive the prize from the Saarland Minister of Education, which is awarded annually by a youth jury. The stand-up comedian was able to win over young people from across Saarland. "Bitter" sounds it when the northerner chats about his own life. Whether it’s drinking games in youth, failed attempts at love, or terrible family celebrations – all accompanied by laughter. A wonderful blend of wit and melancholy, somehow you want to keep your distance and at the same time embrace the 28-year-old.
This year's audience award went to the Mannheim music cabaret duo "Mackefisch." Lucie Mackert and Peter Fischer skillfully and humorously address the emotional condition of our society, the "decline of harmony." The virtuoso pianist and the multi-instrumentalist on guitar, banjo, and suitcase drums impress with dynamic rhythms, catchy melodies, and harmonious two-part singing. For this, they were rewarded by the audience with a standing ovation and the majority vote for the fourth prize in the small arts competition.
Our warmest congratulations to all winners!
