With the Reading Autumn 2022 at the community center in Heiligenwald, the event series enters its third year. This autumn, starting from September 29th, four events featuring various authors are on the program.
The opening event begins on September 29th with the historical night. Six authors from all over Germany take you into dark times full of betrayal, intrigue, and murder, from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century. With excerpts from their well-researched, thrillingly written novels, Christina Auerswald, Maren Bohm, Heidrun Hurst, Barbara Schlüter, Ella Theiss, and Jutta Weber-Bock bring the past to life. The literary time travel is moderated by the successful Saarland author Maria W. Peter.
The Saarland author Deana Zinßmeister, whose work "The Forgotten Homeland" was published in September 2021, will also be part of the Schiffweiler Reading Autumn this year. On October 6th, she will read the story of escape from the GDR. Additionally, she will present her latest historical novel about two sisters, greed for power, love, and jealousy.
On October 13th, the Murderous Sisters invite you to an exciting literary evening at the Heiligenwald Community Center. The Crime Bar opens its doors at 6:30 PM and presents the audience with mysterious murder cases and amusingly eerie short crime stories, spiced up with morbid cocktails and deadly shots.
The final event of the series takes place on October 20th with Thorsten Sueße. He is a specialist in psychiatry, psychotherapy, and psychosomatic medicine, heads the social psychiatric service of the Hanover region, and has previously assessed individuals for their criminal responsibility after committing violent acts. His psychological thriller "Breathless in Hanover" is inspired by his own daily work, which is characterized by regular collaboration with the Hanover police. It promises to be exciting.
