After a two-year break due to the coronavirus, the city of Völklingen is once again hosting the traditional fair in the Lauterbach district of Völklingen. In addition to rides, beverage and snack stands, as well as games, the local community of the Lauterbacher Clubs Working Group e.V. is also organizing a colorful supporting program. The celebrations will take place from September 2nd to September 5th, 2022, at Glashüttenplatz in the center of Lauterbach.
The fair will be opened on Friday from 6 p.m. at the festival ground following a fair parade – musically accompanied by the group GuggeMol – by local mayor Dieter Peters with the traditional keg tapping. Afterwards, DJ Hähnsche will take over the musical program. Other highlights during the festival days include the performance of the band "LangerMütze" with rock and pop music, the fair church service, and the church concert of the Lauterbach Music Association on Sunday morning as well as the performance of "Taximama Alex" with participatory songs for the whole family on Sunday afternoon. On Monday evening, the traditional Lauterbach fair comes to an end.
