(Wadgassen/PDW) On September 4th, the municipality of Wadgassen will once again host its family-friendly wildlife park festival in the unique setting of the Differten Wildlife Park after a two-year corona-related break. Together with many local clubs, various interactive booths will be offered on site from 11 a.m., inviting visitors to play and linger. There will also be live music, coffee & cake, drinks & grilled food.
Great deals for the whole family
“The wildlife park in Differten is one of the flagship attractions of the municipality of Wadgassen,” explains Mayor Sebastian Greiber. “The park is a popular destination for families from the entire greater region and is home to various native animals.” Among them are forest goats, mouflon sheep, fallow deer, Scottish Highland cattle, a black stork, and various birds of prey.
At the wildlife park festival, various booths from local clubs are set up throughout the park area. The gymnastics club offers an obstacle course with slackline, “forest pick-up sticks,” “cone throwing,” and hula hoop. The youth fire brigade provides different skill games. At the Rainbow Daycare booth, bracelets can be crafted. Additionally, thanks to the support of the clubs, there are sausages, grilled specialties, coffee, cake, and drinks available. “I am very pleased about the active participation of our Differter clubs,” said Greiber. “Especially after the difficult times during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are trying to give the clubs a platform to showcase themselves.”
Animal Blessing and Morning Drinks
Starting at 10:30 a.m., an animal blessing will take place in the wildlife park. It will be accompanied by the Germania Differten Orchestra Club. After the blessing, the orchestra club will also perform a morning concert. Afterwards, an unplugged duo featuring Justin Hayo & Philipp Herget will take over, providing excellent musical entertainment. Finally, Niklas Müller, a multi-instrumentalist, will play with his loop station.
Shuttle Service
The access road to the wildlife park from the street "Am Hallenbad" is closed to cars during the festival. Parking is available at the Bisttalhalle. A shuttle service runs regularly between the wildlife park and the Bisttalhalle parking lot during the festival. A "shuttle stop" is marked in the parking lot.
