Valuable tips on collecting and using edible mushrooms as well as recognizing identifying features will be offered during the mushroom excursion on Sunday, September 11th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Hans-Werner Graß, a mushroom expert and specialist of the DGfM, will provide information on all details important for correctly identifying mushrooms and will also explain their enormous ecological significance. A species identification will take place after the excursion. Sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing as well as a notebook and pen are recommended.
The mushroom excursion is supported by Hochwald-Touristik. The meeting point is the Wild and Hiking Park Weiskirchen – entrance area WEZ – Nature Park Saar-Hunsrück information center. The participation fee is €15.00 per person. The number of participants is limited. Registrations are accepted by Hochwald-Touristik, Tel.: 06876/709-37, Email: hochwald-touristik@weiskirchen.de. The event will take place in compliance with the current regulations.
Further mushroom excursions will take place on September 18 starting from Hochwald Clinics Weiskirchen and on October 30 starting from Weiskirchen Camping Site, each from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
