With its 1200-year history, the city of Völklingen is one of the oldest towns in Saarland. In addition to the impressive industrial monument and UNESCO World Heritage Site Völklinger Hütte, there is much more to discover.
In an approximately 90-minute tour, which is likely to be interesting not only for tourists but also for local residents, participants will learn exciting facts - including about the historic Old Town Hall, the Catholic parish church of St. Eligius, and the Völklingen Reconciliation Church with its impressive elliptical interior and ceiling painting.
The next tour will take place on Sunday, September 25, 2022.
The meeting point is at 3 PM at Völklinger Platz, right next to the World Heritage site. The participation fee is 3.00 euros for adults, 2.00 euros for children between 12 and 18 years old, and younger children may participate free of charge. In case of heavy rain or thunderstorms, the tour will be canceled.
